Tuesday, July 4th is Independence Day and Oatland Island Wildlife Center wants to honor those who have served, and those who currently serve in our country’s military.

Although Oatland Island will be temporarily closed the week of July 3rd through July 7th, we will be offering two weekends of free admission for those with a military ID or DD214, on July 1st & 2nd and July 8th & 9th.

We invite our nation’s military, and their families, to come out and enjoy the day exploring the beautiful grounds and watching the animals in the summer air. All visitors are welcome to bring a picnic lunch.
