Sunny Salzman-Clough: Fitness Expert and Wellness Provider

Sunny Salzman-Clough and her husband Jacob own Down Home Crossfit in Pooler, and she is now the owner of Pooler Day Spa as well.

At 29 years old, Sunny is a businesswoman and brand-new mother and could not be happier to offer total body health and wellness to her community. Sunny grew up in the area and has always had ties to Pooler. She has enjoyed watching Pooler grow over the years and is very proud to be a business owner in Pooler—no doubt contributing to its success as a great place to live, work and play.

Down Home Crossfit

Down Home Crossfit offers the best combination of fitness producing results in a supportive atmosphere. Their studio is not intimidating, is unassuming and friendly. They help their clients set goals and are encouraging in helping them meet those goals. In addition to group classes, Down Home Crossfit offers personal training with one-on-one sessions in a variety of packages to fit their clients’ needs.

Pooler Day Spa

In her latest venture as owner of Pooler Day Spa, Sunny is proud to also offer clients a total wellness experience. Pooler Day Spa offers full-service day spa services including facials, massage, hot stone, cupping, waxing and dermaplaning among other luxurious services.

The Details Make the Difference

At both Pooler Day Spa and DownHome Crossfit, “every little detail makes a difference,” Sunny says.

Downhome Crossfit includes showers and other amenities like towels, shampoo, conditioner and even iced and hot coffee.

Pooler Day Spa offers organic products in delectable scents that make the difference. The total experience at both facilities is carefully crafted with the clients in mind.

Making a Difference in Their Communities

At both of Sunny’s businesses, clients step in with the stresses of the day and leave feeling refreshed, empowered and supported. This is what makes the difference.

Both of these businesses are always looking for ways to give back to the community. Whether with local outreach programs that bring food and clothing to the needy or with organizations like SAFE Shelter, Center for Domestic Violence these businesses strive to give back in ways that will make a positive difference.

We asked Sunny to offer a piece of advice for women thinking about going into business for themselves. “Just do it!” she says. Don’t be afraid or discouraged she tells us. “Working for yourself gives you so much freedom and the ability to express yourself in ways nothing else can.” It is a joy that Sunny hopes many women will take advantage of and experience for themselves.
