Trinity Pooler

Trinity United Methodist Church of Pooler has faithfully served the Pooler Community for over 130 years. Established in the 1890s, the original core group congregated in a house that was located down on North Newton Street, not too far from where the Church relocated and has remained since the early 1970s.

Trinity is served by a Senior Pastor, the Reverend Thomas (Tom) Dent, who arrived in 2017 after having previously served churches in Woodbine and St. Simons Island. The Family Ministries Director, Mrs. Candace Kosloske coordinates programs and outreach opportunities for the young and the adults of Trinity.

Trinity has a focus on God, family, and friends. Serving the Lord, Jesus Christ, through worship, discipleship, and ministry. They continue to serve their local community through multiple outreach and benevolence programs and projects. Trinity holds near and dear their ability to welcome all walks of life to their church. First-time visitors are welcomed by several members of the church, and often get to meet for lunch with the Pastor and his wife. Trinity takes pride in being the kind of church that you may have grown up in. They are a church where people know you by name and miss you when you are not there. Trinity is proud to have a community of people who are like second families to one another.

COVID19 has impacted some of the regular community outreach events, but that hasn’t stopped Trinity from creatively hosting events such as the recent “Fall Fest with Bible Guests” drive-thru fall festival, which consisted of approximately 35 church members dressed up as Bible Characters to sanitarily pass out candy to children in their cars as they drove through the church parking lot.
