From its humble beginnings as a little railroad town, Pooler has now become a destination city and home to those that want the small town feel, southern charm, and the convenience of urban amenities.

With new businesses and residents joining the community every day, the Chamber has been providing much needed support and visibility for Pooler’s business community for over ten years. They have been presenting new opportunities for their members, as well as the residents of Pooler, by providing the platform of growth necessary for the area to truly flourish.

Now they have added a new and fresh look to their organization.

The Pooler Chamber of Commerce recently rebranded themselves as the “Greater Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, Inc.” They also unveiled an updated logo and style better suited to a new era at the chamber—and Pooler.

Executive director Pam Southard says, “I think the name, Greater Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, speaks volumes. Sometimes, especially with the tourists and those who haven’t lived here, they feel that out by Savannah Quarters or as far east as the Garden City border is not inclusive of Pooler, and it is. Hence the name changes to make sure we included those on our borders. And, we also have many members on the outskirts of Pooler. We want to make sure we let them know they are part of a bigger and better chamber.”

The Greater Pooler Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau works hard to promote Pooler as a tourist destination and to promote a positive business environment by supporting economic development through networking, teamwork, and innovative thinking.
