If you are looking to feed your passion for great food, then come into Sam Snead’s Tavern!
Sam Snead’s Oak Grill and Tavern is a truly unique restaurant named after the legendary golfer Sam Snead (a.k.a. “Slammin Sammy).” In keeping with the spirit of golf, guests can enjoy the club house feel with rich mahogany wood décor and golf memorabilia collected by Sam Snead himself as he made his way into golf history with the most PGA Tour victories.
Diners can choose from a wide selection of foods grilled over an oak wood fire, creating a unique flavor that compliments our Certified Angus Beef © steaks, seafood, pork chops, or our juicy fall off the bone ribs. And if you like fish, you can’t beat Sam Snead’s, as the fish is delivered daily and prepared to perfection by our amazing chefs. Sam Snead’s offers a variety of exceptional dishes prepared fresh in house, so there’s no doubt that anyone can satisfy their hunger for great food.
Pooler’s Sam Snead’s Oak Grill and Tavern, one of a small chain of restaurants, is managed by operating partner and general manager Lori Taylor. She has been with the company for over eleven years and oversees the daily operations of the restaurant. Lori is very proud of her tremendous staff and management team, William Strouse and Kareta Mobley. They always strive to make each diner’s experience a “hole in one.” Lori states, “Most of our staff members have been here for several years and are more like family members than employees. We offer our guests the best in fresh, made from scratch cuisine. Combine the food with the service, throw in the ambiance, and we give you the total package in your dining experience.”
Even though Snead’s is part of a chain, it does not have that chain feel. Lori is very proud of the local flair her establishment has to offer. Her chefs also take great pride in offering local nightly specials like prime rib, tender lamb shanks and a fresh catch of the day.
Whether you join them for lunch or dinner, you will find the atmosphere warm and inviting. And if you think the atmosphere is fantastic, just wait until you taste the delicious food! Sam Snead’s certainly is one of a kind.
Sam Snead’s doesn’t forget about the salad lovers either. They have a wide array of tasty salads which are complimented by their very own house made salad dressings. Of course, all of these delicious meals should only be followed by the one of a kind house made desserts that are available at Sam Snead’s as well.
Sam Snead’s Oak Grill and Tavern features an outdoor patio that overlooks the lagoon and golf course of the Crosswind Golf Club. The patio is also pet friendly!
If you are planning any holiday parties or business meetings, Sam Snead’s is the perfect place. They have a banquet room that accommodates up to 50 people. Call Lori and speak to her about the catering menu or visit the website for menus and information at www.samsneads.com.
Regardless of what drink you prefer, be sure to stop by the tavern that is like no other in town. The rich colors of the Mahogany wood bar and built-in wine racks, along with the low-lit pendant lamps induce a warm, inviting atmosphere. They offer 24 craft beers on tap every day. Even the well drinks offered at Sam Snead’s are top notch, with brand names like Bacardi, Jim Beam, Beefeaters, Seagram 7 and Jose Cuervo. They also have quite a selection of top shelf scotches and tequilas. Sam Snead’s also offers an extensive wine list to which no one else in Pooler can compare. From their wine display case, one can choose from some very rare and unique varieties of wine. They also feature several wines from famous pro golfers such as Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus and Ernie Els to name a few. If they don’t carry your favorite beverage, just ask and they soon will! And don’t forget their Happy Hour that is Mondaythrough Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 in the bar.
The tavern and restaurant are truly a unique and pleasurable experience unmatched by any other establishment in the area. They are definitely the hidden jewel of the Pooler area!
