The Pooler Recreation Department and Leisure Services boasts several recreational attractions to include two large recreation complexes, a community center and a senior citizens center.
The Pooler Recreation Complex, located at 200 Preston Stokes Drive, offers two lighted soccer/football fields, five lighted baseball fields, a concessions stand with restroom facilities, two playgrounds, batting cages and picnic pavilions to the community. Pooler Park, located at 900 S. Rogers Street, also has five lighted baseball fields, concession stand, two playgrounds, picnic pavilions, a multipurpose room, and a gymnasium. The baseball fields at each complex are available for rental to those interested.
The Community Center, at 955 Plantation Drive, is a facility that offers a full kitchen, a 1,400 square foot dining area, restrooms, and ample room for outdoor activities. The center is available to be rented for parties, meeting, receptions, etc.
The Senior Citizens Center, at Sangrena Woods, offers daily activities Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the community’s senior population.
The center strives to create a welcoming environment to eliminate loneliness. Arts and crafts, exercise classes, games, day trips and hot meals can be enjoyed at the center. Transportation can be provided for those who find it necessary.
The Recreation Department also offers youth athletic programs, as well as adult sports. Baseball, t-ball, softball, soccer, basketball, gymnastics and dance are the activities that are available to the community.
Online Registration is available. The recreation department will no longer take special request during registration.
